Hello, this is JUSTONE.

Starting from December 20th, 2024, the checkout process using credit cards will include a 3DS authentication mechanism.

What is 3DS Authentication?
3DS authentication is a mechanism that requires the cardholder to complete an authentication process before the transaction can be completed.

  • 2D (Non-Authenticated) Checkout: You can complete the checkout by simply entering the card number, expiration date, and CVC code.

  • 3D (Authenticated) Checkout: After entering credit card information, the cardholder will receive an OTP authentication code via SMS. The code must be entered in the checkout window before the transaction can be completed.

Although the 3D authentication process may involve additional steps, it significantly reduces transaction disputes and enhances security, providing greater protection for consumers.

※All three of the following conditions must be met for 3DS authentication payment. If any one of these conditions is not met, the transaction will be rejected.

Condition 1. The card you wish to use must be registered in the card issuer's system to support 3DS payments. Please refer to the images below for further details.

  • If your credit card supports the 3DS system but has not been activated, click "Activate Now" to go to the DS Activation page:

  1. Enter the credit card number, expiration date, and the CVC (CVV) code on the back of the card.

  2. Complete the CAPTCHA to verify that you are the person performing the transaction, and agree to the service terms and conditions.

  3. Enter the information registered with the card issuer, such as SSN, Panel Code, Email address, etc.

  • If your credit card supports the 3DS system but has not been activated, go to the 3DS Activation page:

  1. Set the password required to use the 3DS service system.

  2. Complete the activation process.

Condition 2. Enter the password received on mobile phone accurately into the payment window.

  • The one-time password for personal authentication sent to the customer’s mobile phone must be entered accurately in the checkout window. If the password is incorrect or expires, a new one-time password must be received.

Condition 3. The customer's card issuer must have a system in place to successfully deliver the 3DS authentication code.

  • If the credit card issuer does not support 3D authentication, the customer should use another credit card that supports 3D authentication or select a different payment method.

For Conditions of 1 & 2, please ensure that the authentication process was completed correctly.

For Condition 3, the only solution is to attempt payment with a different card or contact the card issuer for assistance.

Thank you for your continued support and kind attention.
