I’m 159 cm tall and usually have a sturdier lower body. I was debating sizes but ended up buying the S size and I’m satisfied. It’s not overly roomy so tights with fleece lining or nylon tights would work better than cotton ones to reduce friction. Considering the skirt fit I think getting your regular size would make it look even nicer!
